Player of the Week - IFS - Ameba Calavera (What it’s not Average Jack, WTF!)

Just when I though that this was starting to be a chore, Average Jack’s impressive three weeks run as “Player of the Week” for The Eighth Underworld came to an surprising end this week, as one of our newest member has stolen his crown.

IFS - Ameba Calavera is "Player of the Week" for The Eighth Underworld and only just beat our other newest members, Dr. Thomas-Moore and [DC] Calavera, who I understood has invited most of you, if not all of you to his new Steam group “Tim Schafer is our God”

Well done Ameba Calavera and thank you [DC] Calavera for the invites to your group.

Player of the Week - Tom MacDougal

After last week’s shock announcement that one of our newest members, (IFS - AmebA), was “Player of the Week” and saw Average Jack’s impressive three week run come to an end, we saw two people publically announcing they will challenge for the crowd this week.

Well I glad to say both of them didn’t come anywhere near the amount of hours Tom MacDougal did, who’s this week’s “Player of the Week”, for The Eighth Underworld.

Well done Tom.

I’m thinking of maybe handing out prizes to people who get the “Player of the Week” award on 10, 20 & 30 occasions, with a different prize for each stage that you get. I’m will be putting a post on the forum with more details over the weekend, so look at for that and let me know what you think of the idea on the forum.

Even though he is dead Bruce Leeeeeeeeeeee has accomplish another feat of human endurance by becoming this week’s “Player of the Week” for The Eighth Underworld.

Well done Mater Lee, you have show the way of the dragon.

Player of the Week - Demo Chicken

What do we know about Ben? Well we know for definite he likes playing Demoman on TF2. cherry And we think he may also like eating at a certain Southern fired chicken restaurant quite a lot, we just don’t know!

But one thing we do know for sure is that he is this week’s “Player of the Week” for The Eighth Underworld. Giving him bragging rights for the next 7 days.

Well done Ben and keep up the good work.

Our clan match against Team Win will be this Thursday at 8pm (UK time). Hopefully Jack and the other admin will finalize the details over the weekend and will be posted here on the Steam Group page and on the forum.

Player of the Week - ---iron--->

I’m sorry for being late posting “Player of the Week” tonight, but I’ve been busy at home, so please forgive me.

Again we have another new member receiving this week’s award. We don’t know much about him, not even a first name, which would be nice! (Could be steam, 8 or maybe flat), but I glad to say that ---iron---> is this week’s “Player of the Week” for The Eighth Underworld.

Well done dude.

Well we've learnt a lot about Iron from last week, we know his first name is Richard, and that’s it, lol. But there seems no stopping the guy, as for the second week running Iron/Richard is the “Player of the Week” for The Eighth Underworld. Well done Richard.

PICTURE COMPETITION
I would like to remind people that there is only two weeks left for the picture competition, where you could win the new Sniper/Spy Poster from the Valve Store. Please go to the URL below for more details.

CLAN LOGO
I would also like to remind you about the clan logo competition, which is still open and will be closed at the end of August, when a concept will be agreed upon. I’ve decide the winning concept will also receive a prize. Details will be posted on the forum over the weekend.

First, I’d like to apologize for posting “Player of The Week” 16 hours late, I’m sure most of you know that I usually post this every Friday night at (9pm, UK time), but I just simply forgot last night to do it, sorry.

By looking at people’s stats and activity, it has been a quite week not just for us but for the whole Steam community. But the good news is that if things goes to plan, we may have the clan server set up by next week, if not then the week after. I'll keep you guys inform over the following week to what is happening.

We still want your thoughts and ideas on the clan server and we would like to know which custom maps you would like to play, so please go to the link below to post your comments.

Clan Server

Back onto topic, Dyntia is this week’s “Player Of The Week” for The Eighth Underworld, which has ended Iron’s impressive two week run as "Player Of The Week". Well done Dyntia.

Remember if you get Player Of The Week” ten times you’ll get a prize from the Steam store.

Final thing to say before I finish, you have least than a week left (31st July at 6pm, UK time) befor the picture competition will be closed, where you could win the new Sniper/Spy Poster from the Valve Store. Please go to the URL below for more details. Remember you can submit as many entries as you like, if you have already entered, then you can submit some more if you want.

So good luck to everyone whos enters the competition.

Player of the Week – Irving

Congratulations to Josh for being this week’s “Player Of The Week” for The Eighth Underworld. He was one of the first and has been one of the most loyal members to join the group, (as well as Dick Cheney's assassin squad), so I glad to se him as Player of the Week for us. Well done Josh.

In other news, the first ever 8U picture competition closed tonight at 6pm, (UK time) and no more entries can be submitted. The winner of the TF2 Sniper/Spy poster will be announced tomorrow at 12 noon, here on the group page as well as the forum.

I’d like to say thank you to everyone who entered and look out for details to the next picture competition, which will also be announce tomorrow at the same time.

Also we were hoping to have the clan server this week, but as you can guess things didn’t go as planned! Going to try and get it order this weekend and then get the admins to load everything up onto it and to test the maps and mods out. Which make take a few days, just to make sure everything working properly and it will then be open to you guys and the public. We will also be holding a special clan event on the day the server is open to you, and we will keep you posted on this in the near future.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK– RelentlesS

Steve Garvey

Congratulations to RelentlesS for being this week’s “Player Of The Week” for The Eighth Underworld, by being streets ahead then everyone else for this week. Well done Jesses, keep it up

CLAN SERVER – DONATIONS
As some of you already now, we now need your donations for the TF2 and Ventrilo clan servers. Lewis (Imacgta) is working on a custom design hat for all people who donate, which you can wear on the server. We want to get this server as fast as possible now, please donate as much as you can, so we can get things moving at once. You can either donate through PayPal or by a check address to me.

PICTURE COMPETITION 2
The next picture competition is already open on the forum, this time I want you guys/girls to take a screenshot, (several are already supply for you on the forum topic), of Grim Fandango and create a funny caption to go with it. You can edit the image if you wish in Photoshop or something and you can make a reference to anything e.g. TF2, L4D, a film or maybe George Lucas who was a producer on the game or maybe another Lucas Arts game or something.

The person with the funniest picture will win a copy of Grim Fandango and a T-shirt of their choice from the Valve Store. Second place will also win a copy of Grim Fandango and a mousepad of their choice and third place will also win copy of Grim Fandango and a poster of their choice from the Valve Store.

All details and rules are the forum and the competition will closed on the Friday 25th September at 6pm, UK time. Good luck to everyone who enters.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Stevoooooooooooooooooooooo[NMC]

For the second week running, Stevoooooooooooooooooooooo[NMC] is this week’s “Player of the Week” for 8U. There’s no stopping this guy! God help us tomorrow night, during the clan event. :-S

Well done again Steve.

CHANGE OF RULES FOR PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Most of you have seen The Eighth Underworld numbers rapidly increasing over the last few weeks, and going through everyone’s, profile on a Friday night to find the person who done the most gaming in the 8U group now take too long for me. So I have decided to only consider players for the “Player of the Week” title to members of the group who actuality wears the 8U clan tag in their username.

Also there are some people who have their profile set to private, so I’m unable to check their stats and those people may and have lost out to other people for the title on some weeks. If you want to eligible for the title from now on, then please make sure you have done these two things for me, so you don’t miss out, because remember if you win the title 10 times, you get a prize. Full details are in this thread.
