Fallout News Empty Fallout News

Two more downloadable expansions for Fallout 3 will arrive over the summer, developer Bethesda announced today, along with word that, beginning in late June, the PlayStation 3 will start to receive all of the Fallout 3 downloadable DLC announced thus far.

As for the two new downloadable episodes, here's what we know:

* Point Lookout (Late June for PC and Xbox 360 - 800 MS Points / $10)
Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.

* Mothership Zeta (Late July for PC and Xbox 360 - 800 MS Points / $10)
The aliens have returned, and they're pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you're tough enough to survive.

Point Lookout will hit PS3, after the first three DLCS have been released, with the PS3 release of Mothership Zeta set to arrive after Point Lookout hits the platform.

In addition, a Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will hit retailers in October, packing the original version of the post-apocalyptic action-RPG along with the five add-ons. The PC version will sell at $49.99, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 iterations priced at $59.99.

The PC and Xbox 360 downloadable content will also hit retail in the form of disc-based Fallout 3 Game Add-on Packs. The first, due May 26, contains The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, with the August-due second including Broken Steel and Point Lookout.

Downloads of Point Lookout and Zeta will be sold via retail "token cards" as well.

Retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network.

Fallout News Empty No More Fallout 3 DLC Planned After 'Zeta'

Post by Kenny Tue Aug 04, 2009 6:54 am

Developer Bethesda has confirmed that Mothership Zeta, the fifth downloadable expansion for its action-RPG Fallout 3, is the last DLC they have planned. The studio said that there are no plans for additional content, though it also cautioned that one should "never say 'never."

Mothership Zeta was released on PC and Xbox 360 today. The five downloadable add-ons are also headed to PS3, with the first batch due around September. Meanwhile, an enhanced "Game of the Year" edition of Fallout 3 hits retailers in October, bundling all of the add-ons with the game itself.
