    Live Streaming? Empty Live Streaming?

Post by smileyalyssa Wed Dec 15, 2010 10:56 am

ive found a web site that offers free live streaming, ive talked to Chris about it and 8U may start a streaming page there. more than one person can stream to the page, but not at once though.

once you download XSplit there are some things you must do to stream.

    step 1. open xsplit
step 2. click the broadcast tab and click "edit channles"
step 3. click the "add" button at the side
    step 4. click "own3D"
step 5. add your own3D user name and password in the blank area
step 6. click on the blank area next to "channels" and click on a stream page name (your own streaming page will apear automatacly, but if you want to stream to another page you must be added as a user to the stream page)
step 7. go down to "audio encoding" and in the area next to "format" change to 44.100 KHz 16 bit stereo. then click ok.
step 8. the channel you chose should appear in the channels screen, then hit apply then ok.
step 9. back at the main XSplit window go to "scene sources" near the bottom then click "add" in the bottom left then click "add screen region"
step 10. move your cursor to wherever you want on the large black screen, a small window of your desktop will appear. click the edge of the window and drag to enlarge it.
step 11. click on "view" at the top of your XSplit window and click "resolution". you will want to change the resolution to slightly smaller than your monitor.

you are now ready to broadcast! just click "broadcast" at the top then the channel you want to boradcast too. there! you are now boradcasting live and can talk into your mic and the viewers will be able to hear you!

Seems like xsplit & own3d is in this really good partnership.

I personally like own3d because the quality there is superb.. Its really really crisp when you compare it to say Justin or ustream..
