PICTURE COMPETION 1

This is the first Eighth Underworld’s picture competition, (excluding the Clan Logo competition), and if it works well, hopefully it will not be the last. I’ve try this competition on another forum and it failed miserably, so this time I have added the incentive of a prize. On offer is the new Spy vs. Sniper poster from The Valve Store.

HOW TO WIN
With the new Snipers and Spy achievements being release last week with the new award system, where it’s now random what people get and making the achievements meaningless and worthless. I want you to create your own Team Fortress 2 Achievements that nearly anyone could get if they play the game. I would like the entries done in the same style of the achievements seen the in the game.

You are allow to enter as many entries as you like. Nothing offensive, no pictures/images or criticisms of anyone from the forum, except if it is yourself. The idea for the competition has come from here and I would recommend you all have a look at the orignal site to inspire a few ideas, but with the recent changes to TF2, I'm sure you guys will have a few idea already.

Too help; I’ve created a template as a PSD file with all the right fonts and colours with multi layers for the progress bar, so you can change it up to 10%, 20%, 30% etc. with all the text boxes correctly laid out. If you would like to use the template, please send me an e-mail to 8underworld@googlemail.com and I will send the template to you.

Some technically details if you like to use the template. The picture/icon needs to be 56 x 56 pixels, so it can fit properly. Try if you can to use the same three colours as the game uses for the picture/icons, which are:

Dark grey: 3C3E3B
Beige: E3E2BB
Orange: EB7327

But it doesn’t have to be prefect. The closest font I could find that is similar to the one Valve use is the Myraid font, if anyone can find a better one or the right one for that matter than please tell let me know.

The contest is open to till 31st July at 6pm, (UK time). The winner will be chosen by me and announce on the forum and the Steam group’s profile page the next day. Then arrangements and details can then be sorted out, for delivery of the prize.

After a winner is decided, I put them all the entries together in one big image in the same style seen in the TF2 game menu and post it on the forum and I might make a desktop wallpaper out of it for the clan.
