First Footage of Halo Anime Debuts

Halo News WIRE-OddOneOut_Toei

Microsoft has announced Halo Legends, a collection of animated shorts based in the Halo universe.

Japanese animation houses Production I.G., Toei, Studio4 C and others are involved in the Animatrix-esque effort. There isn't much on details or story from the trailer, so we'll see if it rubbish or not when it's release this autumn.

Halo News Empty Halo Wars Leaderboards Wiped, May Not Be Restored

Post by Kenny Thu Jul 30, 2009 7:48 am

I can't help but laugh, sorry to anyone who plays this on the Xbox.

A glitch in the Xbox Live system has seen the leaderboards for Halo Wars evaporate, and now the game's developers are unsure of whether they will ever be reconstituted.

Halo News Halo-wars1

"An Xbox LIVE technical issue wiped all Halo Wars Xbox LIVE Leaderboards earlier today," wrote Robot Entertainment on the Halo Wars site. "This includes all singleplayer, multiplayer and Trueskill leaderboards, as well as all matchmaking data," added Robot Entertainment, destroying man's achievements with its uncaring fist."

"At this time it's unknown if the data can be restored, resulting in the Halo Wars Leaderboards being reset to original Launch Day status," continued Robot Entertainment, and the tear ducts opened.

"The Xbox LIVE team is investigating the cause, and they will provide an update to the situation as soon as possible," concluded Robot Entertainment. If anyone who plays this has tears rolling up in their eyes or have just had their soul sapped away after reading this, remember there is still hope of a new day.

Right I have a 360 and its not that bad it has lots to offer plus it has good games.some people can't afford a great gaming pc so they end up buying a ps3 or 360 have u guys tried gears of war fable 2 killlzone and little big planet. H little big planet is probably the best thing that happend to gaming, you could make ur own games.it helps people who want to make a game but don't have the skills to make one. And for pc gaming i love it but lately there have not been games made that tell a person"hey I want to make the best pc so I could play -------" what ever game comes out on pc you could get it on console. Crysis is gay just cos it exist for no reason.

No dont get me wrong Xbox's are good, however it seems windows arnt paying them any attention when they go wrong, The consol is good but the makers are careless.. With all thats going on in the world... Credit crunch etc.. The last thing that Xbox want is more problems.. And atm there in a bit of a cuffufle with one. Also something people might like is "LEGO Halo" lol...It was just an april fools to get people exited over Halo 3 but i looks like it could be made..

This was one of the reasons why I posted about what had happen to Halo Wars, could this happen to Steam? And what if it wasn't just one game, but every game under Steam? Quite scary, if you think about it. affraid

Unless you keep the receipt? I would imagine Valve use multiply databases, posted around the world, to ensure that if one or a few servers go down, they will be always one to retrieve people's data from. I know for a fact Google operation a similar system, for its search engine.

Interesting how Microsoft didn't use this method!
