How I deal with spammers

Over the last week some c#nt has posted spam for an illegal scam on our forum for some fake university courses and qualifications. Now I've deleted the threads and user accounts associated with this, but please if you see this sort of s#it on our forum please DO NOT CLICK ON IT and tell an admin at once. So we can protect you and everyone else, and so we can deleted this s#ite from our forum. This sort of stuff breaks our rules for the forum and also the rules set down by 'Forumotion' and we don't want to get into any trouble with them.

This is the e-mail I sent the mother f#cker.

Stop posting spam and illegals scams on our forum or I'll report you to the monitors of forumotion, who will deal with you legally. All three of your accounts have been deleted from our forum as you have broken two of our rules, (which are listed below), not even mentioning the rules set by Forumotion. We banned the person not the account, so take it as a man and stop this pointless and illegal behaviour now, which I sure you know is wrong. Go and find something worthwhile and meaningful to do in life, because it's people like you who give the internet a bad name. Do you really think you are helping people and would your mother and family by proud of you if they knew what you were doing?

Rule 3. Thou Shalt Not Advertise upon the forum.
We do not intend to serve as a linking service or a search engine to other sites. Do not put up links, which have no relevance to the community and the forum. We do not allow links to:

A. Pornographic, racist or illegal materials, gambling and computer hacking & cracks sites.

B. Profit sites (any get rich quick sites). This includes sites that earn the poster a profit/commission or sites that give points for incoming links.

C. Do not use our forum membership as a means to build their own sites, using our Private Messaging system to recruit writers and/or their content or membership drives for their own forums. Do not send Spam to members via our PM system.

D. Sites carrying ad-busting software.

Rule 7. Thou Shalt Not Spoof.
Don't make up an account name designed to resemble another poster. If you're banned for some reason, don't keep coming back with "Fred," "Fred the Undead" and "Fred Yet Again." If you were banned, take it like a man… wellll, take it like a reasonable person, and accept your fate. We ban the person not the account so registering under a new nickname will result in that account being banned too. If you wish, you may appeal the account closure to the staff. Oh, and for goodness sake, don't make up additional accounts to respond to yourself. (People who talk to themselves used to be burned at the stake as witches; we still hold to that belief system, here at 'The Eighth Underworld'

Can I just send the motherf#cker a keylogger? The guy would probably be so stupid he'd run it. Automove to startup, log keystrokes and automatically email back everything, perhaps? If the idiot uses that PC for banking then I'll be cleaning out his account(s).

Nice idea as I had a similar idea of spamming his e-mail inbox with all sorts of c#rp, but then I thought that this person would have multiple accounts and would never use his/her/theirs personal e-mail address.

But the other reason I didn't do it is the same about the keylogger idea, we don't stoop to the same low level when people do us wrong and plus I don't want to waste the time and effort. The Frag I.T. incident talked us that.
