RYDER CUP: Round 2 - 2009

This year's second round of the Ryder Cup will be taking placed on the Saturday 24th October 9pm (UK time) and will be played on the US server (208.167.244.190:27015), if we can get it set up in time. Maps are yet to be decided, but as before it's open to all members of 8U and there should be at least 2 admin on each team this time around. Please tell us if you are taking part and I'll post further details in the next few days.

RYDER CUP (Round 2 - 2009) - FINAL RESULT



I would like to start by saying a big thank you to everyone who join the 'Ryder Cup' clan event tonight.

I know there are still problems with the in-game setup, but having talked to couple of admin, we have a few ideas on how to improve things for the next 'Ryder Cup' round in December, which we are planning for either the 26th (Boxing Day) or 27th.

So who won I hear you ask.

The first round of Badwater Basin was won by the 'New World' team (North America) and then the 'Old World' team (Europe) won the other two rounds for that map.

All three rounds of CP Granary was won by the 'Old World' team.

For KOTH Viaduct, the first round was won by 'Old World' and the second round by 'New World'. The third round was very very close, but 'Old World' just manage to snacthed vicotry at literaray the last second of the round to win map.

so the final score was 3/0 to the 'Old World' team with them winning 7/9 of the rounds.

James has recorded the entire event for us and is planning to upload it onto YouTube, (probably in three parts), but as you can imagine there's a load of footage to go through, so it will take some time to put together, but we will keep you inform in the near future.
