8U’s Regional Team of the Year is….

Tonight we had this year’s final round of our Ryder Cup event and the last 8U clan event for 2009. I’d like to say thank you to all 19 people you join us. There was some fantastic and intensive play tonight, especially on Goldrush. Unfortunately a lot of people drop out throughout the event for various reasons and I suffered a couple disconnections myself, so we didn't get to play the final maps. I will have to call the match a draw.

That means half a point to each team, putting the New World team (North America) on 1 point and the Old World team (Europe) or 2 points, making the Old World the 8U ‘Regional Team of the Year’ for 2009.

Thank you again to everyone who has taken part in these first three Ryder Cup events over the last 4 months. Yes, there are still some things to improve on, but as a clan that’s only 8 months old, we are still fairly new at this, but we are dedicated to improve things for you people. i.e. getting my PC to stop crashing!

Well done to The Old World Team and it European players, we’ll get some form of trophy made for you (might be a Photoshop job) and a runner’s up trophy to the New World team as well.

The first round of the 8U’s Ryder Cup 2010 season is scheduled for Saturday 28th February. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a very happy New Year.
